Q. What
sites do you currently host?
A. We currently
host a wide range of sites from your average personal home page to large corporate and full blown eCommerce websites.

A. We currently
host over 75,000 web sites spread across a variety of Linux,
BSD, and OSX servers.
Q. What
Kind of computers do you use for web servers?
A. We currently
employ a wide array of AMD based Dual Processor Linux and
BSD Servers. We build each server ourselves to insure the highest quality.
Q. How
reliable are your servers?
A. We do not have
major downtime on a regular basis, and very rarely have any
outages during prime-time. We have very experienced Mac and
Linux webmasters managing our servers, and we use server
monitoring tools such as
PageSentry monitoring and paging system and MRTG, in combination with auto-reboot devices to insure the highest possible uptime. Maintenance if necessary is only done in off peak hours. Each of our servers employs a N+1 Redundant RAID array to insure your site keeps running in the event of a possible hardware failure. On call technicians are always on call 24/7 for any after hours emergency.
Q. Are your
servers backed up?
A. All of our
servers are backed up daily to inside and outside sources.
We do suggest that our customers keep a backup of their web
site at all times as our Web Hosting Services are not meant
for backup purposes. We employ a redundant group of APC
SmartUPS Rack Mounted Network Uninterruptible Power Supply
Systems for battery backup.
Q. Can I
run CGI scripts on your servers?
A. All of Linux based Web Hosting accounts
included CGI-BIN. These servers also support Perl, PHP, and
MySQL, for NO additional charge. Please ask an account rep for details of specific services offered.
Q. How can I
setup POP eMail accounts for everyone in my company?
A. Utilizing our online billing system, you can easily add, delete, or forward email accounts in real time from the privacy of your own computer. To login, click here.
Q. Do
you provide statistics?
A. We parse your logs in real time using Analog and Report Magic which provides a nice graphic overview of your web site transfer statistics. Your raw logs are kept in your root directory, so you are free to download them, or parse them in any other way you choose. An example of our stats can be seen here:
Q. How
can I connect to your servers to upload my files?
A. We provide you
with an FTP account with which you can upload files. SSH is also available at no extra charge.
Q. How
do I upload my files to the server?
A. We provide an
FTP account, which you login to using your favorite FTP program. For the Mac, Fetch,
Interacrchy, etc. For the PC,
CuteFTP, wsFTP, etc.
Q. What
information is stored in your log files?
A. We log the
date, time, result (ok/err), client IP address, the URL,
bytes transferred, the search argument and the search engine
used, and the referrer (the page that the client came from).
Q. Can I
establish more then one domain name within an account, and
resell the space offered?
A. Yes, we do
have discounted pricing for adding additional domains and
accounts, please contact us
with your specific needs.
Q. How
long does it take to setup an account?
A. Your account
itself is usually read same day. A new domain
name registration takes 24 to 48 yours, a domain name
transfer usually takes 2 to 4 business days. Domain name
transfers can be further delayed if the previous ISP is the
admin contact and does not authorize the transfer. Your site itself can be ready for you to upload to the day you order it!

take credit cards?
A. Of course,
Visa, MaterCard, and American Express are accepted.
Q. Do
you offer Secure servers for Credit Card Authorization?
A. Yes, we offer SSL certificates, and can also offer you a secure site using one of our certificates for small fee.

A. Bella Mia is
an Internet Presence Provider (IPP), and an Internet Service
Provider (ISP) We can provide you with dial-up and dedicated

Q. What
Internet backbones do you use?
A. Bella Mia's
network infrastructure consists of multiple fiber connections to the internet Backbone. We are directly
connected to multiple separate Tier One Backbone Providers; TimeWarner,
AT&T, and SBC Communications. Our network is powered by multiple
75xx series Cisco Routers all running
BGP4(Border Gateway Protocol) for redundancy. We do load
balancing to insure all traffic is equally balanced among
the networks we are connected to.
Q. How
fast is your Internet connection?
A. We currently
have 3 DS3's and OC12 connections to our providers. We are continually upgrading to
handle increasing traffic. Our connection is load balanced
and redundant to insure the shortest possible route.

are you located?
A. We are located
at 401 Host Drive Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, 53147. (60 miles
North of Chicago. and 35 miles South of Milwaukee.) We are in the South East Business Park on a 3 Acre site just south of beautiful down town Lake Geneva.
